Cameron’s love of the real estate industry is centred around his interest in people and his strength in relationship building. With a degree in Psychology and Sociology from King’s University, he has taken a client-centred approach throughout his 30-year sales and marketing career. Cameron initially built an extremely successful boutique insurance brokerage that assisted over six hundred companies across BC. Upon the sale of his company, he turned to a focus on real estate, a field that had interested him since buying and renovating his first property at the age of 20. Getting to know the real estate market and the communities therein is a given as a realtor, but Cameron finds that truly identifying and understanding client needs and goals, and then assisting with attaining the desired outcome is a far more complex and rewarding process.
I love the idea that every property search (for a buyer) and every property listing (for a seller) demands really getting to know the clients and understanding what drives their decisions. I see what I do as something more than simply brokering real estate transactions.”
Cameron’s approach to business has always been one of discipline, focus and creative collaborative energy, and he has applied the same intensity to his personal life. His sense of adventure has taken him and his family on many journeys, from riding camels in Cairo, to living for a month in a Ugandan tent, to epic all-day mountain bike rides. He is also well known for his love of coffee, to the point of importing and roasting his own beans and paddle boarding back and forth across Okanagan Lake just to have coffee with friends.
